The serological method DAS-ELISA (double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay) is primarily used for the analysis of plant samples for the presence of specific pathogens. This method is economic and suitable in most cases. We also offer the analysis of your samples with the molecular biological method polymerase chain reaction (classical or real-time PCR).
Antigen (pathogen) present in the sample is recognized by specific antibodies in microtiter plates. A color change indicates a positive result, whereas negative samples remain colorless.
Pathogen-specific DNA or RNA is amplified and then detected as fluorescent band with specific size in a gel.
Pathogen-specific DNA or RNA is amplified and recorded real-time as fluorescent increase. This method allows to quantify the pathogen concentration in the sample.
